It’s a pretty and worthwhile 40 minute, moderately uphill forest trek to reach the level 4 twin falls or the level 5 fall that has a pool suitable for swimming. And if you want to “go chasing waterfalls instead of the rivers and lakes you’re used to”, you should make your way up to the remote level 7, which is another 15 minute climb.
Visitors should enlist the services of one of the qualified guides listed below, as a Forestry permit is required. Your guide will also arrange for parking and access with the landowner at the start of the hike, and ensure that you have 1st Aid and evacuation support if you need it.
It’s important to wear good hiking or sports shoes, and bring extra sandals, a towel, and a change of clothes to properly enjoy the area. Drinks and snacks are great too, but please remember to take your rubbish away with you!
For the best adventure, opt to abseil down Level 5 of the falls. It’s a sheer drop of almost 100 feet, and will surely get your blood pumping! The Radiant Team is currently the only Janda Baik-based, rope-certified team to run this premium activity.
